What is the best way to clean slightly rusty shower curtain hooks?
I don't want to throw them out and buy new, but I need to spruce them up a bit. They're just simple metal rings that are starting to grow some rust. Any thoughts on a simple clean-up?

Put them in vinegar for about ten to twenty minutes and then take them out and dry them off.
If they are still rusty, try some steel wool on them.

WD40 would be good to use. WD40 is a good water repellent.
