This valance could be used on eyebrow and elliptical shaped windows also. It can even be hung straight across, if desired. The valance can be attached to the wall using knobs and post adapters. You can use simple wardrobe hooks as an alternative. The gathered horns on our valance are tied chair-tie tassels. However raffia or ribbon could be used.

No...actually a popular style right now is the use of shades with no additional window treatments. Several of the rooms in my house just have shades and curtains or valances. I also know some people who have just used wooden blinds and no additiona window treatments. Some windows look better without them, depending on the room. Remember...it's yours, as long as you like it, I wouldn't worry about what other people think! Good luck!

Hang the curtain from the rod and just pull some string through rings to draw it up to where you like it. Tie the string and you are done.
