Okay I hope you guys can follow me on this...smile. I want to put curtains on my 6ft wide doorway from foyer into living room. My foyer has Burgundy velvet curtains and I am buying these below for living room (and doorway) They match both rooms.

I am not sure if I should put them on the foyer side looking into living room OR living room side looking into foyer? I could even put on both sides...but then would I use same curtains on both sides or different? New house so many things to figure out...going crazy. Please help me keep my sanity....smile.

Foyer is about 10x8 ft. Enter my house and stairs are at my left...go up 4 stairs..then right to go up rest. It is all visible from foyer. Stairs are like an L and there is a little seat with a cushion on it there. Kids sit ther while waiting for my boys to come down.
They will be pulled back with tie backs. Not left closed to seperate the rooms.
