Since you want to incorporate blue, you could do a navy blue. It would look good with the light yellow walls and brown comforter.

This is an alteration showing you how luxurious and easy you can revamp your curtains. These curtains was originally long, fitted with a tape that a pole would be able to go through, but now! A 3" pencil pleat tape is added to the curtains and a 3" Velcro (Female) tape is add to the valances. A Pelmet board is maked with the rough side of the Velcro (Male) stapled to one side of the edge and the 2 corners. A deluxe track is screwed down, making life easier for the carpenter to install. We can make old curtains come to life, by re-hanging, re-stitching, replacing accessories, running smoother and removing creases. If you want, we can add accessories such as tassels or tie backs and we can even add new swags, tails or pelmet boards.

Question by swoop: Options for installing blackout curtains in a high rise building with 10 foot ceilings?
I live in a highrise building with 10 foot ceilings and it is always too bright. the windows are 94 inches wide and there is no place to install a central support for a window curtain pole. How do people in high rises install curtains. Do they do it themselves or hire a contractor? Also the wall has metal studs which makes it hard to drill holes.
