Spacing curtain rod brackets?
I have a window that is 8 feet long. I am going to hang up curtains today but wasn't sure how far apart to space the brackets that hold the curtain rod. I was thinking of four total, spaced evenly. Does this sound right?

That should be fine for most curtains. If the fabric is heavier such as a brocade, or a velvet, you might want to add one more bracket. Since you called them curtains and not drapes, it sounds like they are more lightweight and should be ok.

In 8 ft or so, 2 brackets one on each end and a center support/bracket. This allows you to slide the curtains to the center to close them or to the ends to open them. Curtains aren’t that heavy, real heavy material like drapes should be supported by a pole type hanger.
