For the money these are a good deal. The fabric is very nice and lightweight, more than I thought it would be. The color we chose, beige, is perfect. I was very impressed with how quickly they were shipped.
My only beef is that one of the panels has one side that is a tiny bit shorter on one side. Not a lot, but just enough to be noticeable. What can I say, I'm a Libra and I like things to hang straight and be in balance ;-) We ended up placing our rod brackets on one side just a tad higher to compensate. Other than that, they are a great buy.

My two year old has an obnoxiously bright street light directly outside her bedroom window that lights up her bedroom like the sun from about 7 pm to 6 am. It's so bright in there I swear I could read a book at 2 am with the lights off. Consequently, in the 20 days since we moved in, she has woken up two to three times a night and we're all sleep deprived.

We bought these to block the light and they're about a 90% solution. They block a great deal of the light. She can now sleep much more soundly and didn't wake us at all after we hung them yesterday. They are not perfect and they do let some light through but overall they work quite well, especially for the price. If you are seeking these curtains to block normal light during the day they work very well for that, as her west-facing windows are dark during the day with the curtains closed. If, however, you also have an ridiculously bright street light outside your window, you might consider buying these then lining them with a layer of blackout material, too.

Note, please, that the measurements for the width of our curtains were a bit off. Instead of 52" they were 51" wide. A mere inch can make a bit of difference when dealing with oddly sized windows like ours. I recommend buying them in a size larger than you require - I wish I'd gone with a wider curtain to have them hang more nicely as well.

All said, the olive shade that we ordered is doing quite nicely, though I suppose I'll hang our regular shades over to block even more light.

Very pleased with the feel and look of these curtains. Although I haven't bought curtains in years and expected an attached white insulated panel, I'm not at all disappointed. I especially liked the two hanging options and considering buying this product for another room.

I had initially placed an order for these curtains on July 7th. A month and a half later, I still do not have them. The initial shipment brought a set of 2 curtains, where one was about 10 inches longer than the other one. There were no return labels included, so upon contacting the company's customer service, I was e-mailed return labels. I sent the product back and waited patiently for a whole month. I called the company again today, where the phone was answered in an unprofessional manner (making me think I had reached a residence and not a company) and I was told that my replacement order would ship out tomorrow. I'm probably not incorrect in my asumption that the return order had been completely forgotten. I was not given any explanations or justification for the wait time.

The product in itself was certainly satisfactory, but having to wait almost two months for it due to lack of quality customer service and service overall leaves me with the inability of recomending this seller.

Just as the other reviewers sate, these blackout/thermal curtains work exceptionally well (and thank you very much for taking the time to write the reviews, they really helped me make up my mind). But truthfully, I wasn't expecting much of a change.

I got them yesterday, put them up and then went to work. When I got home last night my bedroom was at least 10 degrees cooler than normal; and with the lights out, much darker as well. I recently moved from a house where my lady worked nights and had the bedroom basically blacked out so she could sleep during the day. My problem is where I live now the morning sun comes streaming in my window very early and very bright, thus waking me up earlier than I like (I work second shift and usually sleep until 10 AM, so being awakened at 8-9 AM was killing me). That is no longer a problem, thank God. I even overslept 1.5 hours this morning!!

And right now we are in the middle of a heat wave with triple digit temperatures, so I can vouch for the validity of the thermal properties of these excellent curtains. My room is usually at least 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house even with my ceiling fan on, but now that is no longer a problem. The same is true in winter, my room stays at least 10 degrees colder (I've lived here before...thank God for understanding, loving parents!). I'm sure I'll see the same results this winter, with my room being much warmer.

Also, these are very soft, satiny feeling curtains, not rough feeling at all. If you didn't know better you'd think they were much higher priced regular fine draperies with no thermal/blackout properties whatsoever. But touch can be very deceiving in this case. This company deserves an award for the design of these curtains.

Thank you very much for a product that actually lives up to what you say they will do; and again, thank you to the other reviewers. If you were in my situation, and want to save money as well, you really need to try these out. Leonard B.
