Safety Light Curtains

It seems that security is a point of interest and even of need these days. The truth is, as our resources decrease and our population increases, we’re all beginning to feel more and more like rats in a cage. Sadly, some of those rats are less than honorable and honest, and for that reason, safety light curtains were created.

Safety light curtains are curtains only in the metaphorical, abstract sense. What they are is a simple matter: a string or curtain, if you will, of lights that are strung about an area that needs to be lighted at night.

The reasons for this are all too apparent as night-time is the right time for thieves to lurk and do their sinister business. It is a proven fact that, even in an area that is devoid of neighbors within a close proximity, light frightens off potential thieves.

Safety light curtains are rather bright, additionally. It is no mean level of shade interspersed with weak lighting that these curtains of comfort provide (though, of course, one must maintain good wiring, connections, and a strong power source for a strong beam of light).

Additionally, as the safety light curtains are only just lights, if a whole string of them, they can be added together to further the length of the shroud of light. As well, in this day of dwindling energy in the face of heightened energy bills, these light curtains are felicitous to renewable energy, thus taking the owners off ‘the grid’ if desired, if only for this one application.

Such sources of energy include solar power, by way of silicone panels, and wind energy, facilitated by wind turbines (of course, the latter is now proving to kill many birds, so if you’re an ally of our aviary friends, you might just go with solar).

A final note on safety lights. Not only are they good for security, but also for the purposes of heightened sight. While not often used for this purpose, they make excellent indoor or outdoor lighting for mechanics and other industrial-type workers.
