Eye-let curtains have become very popular. They are so easy to hang, it's quite literally just a matter of using either a metal or wooden curtain pole and sliding them on.!
This style of curtain is easy to draw across at night and swish back in the mornings! They can be drawn back in their entirety or swept back and held in place with coordinating or contrasting tie-backs. When windows are dressed only to the sill of the window the designers tend to use blinds rather than curtains, or use a combination of the two.
Old style grand interiors typically have beautiful full length curtains with coordinating or contrasting fabrics covered pelmets, swags and tails, elaborate goblet or pinch pleat headings. These heading variations are ideal for heavy weight curtain fabrics as they enable the fabric to retain the elegance of the pleating effects they offer.
Sweeping these styles of curtains back from the centre and keeping them in place with traditional tassel tie-backs adds to their flamboyance.
