Help Identifying a Part for a Curtain Track
In two parts this video firstly describes the parts from which a curtain track is assembled. In the case of a hand drawn track, the track profile, the brackets, gliders or slides and end stops or covers. For corded curtain tracks all the parts for a hand drawn track as well as master gliders or carriers, down or end pulleys, the curtain cord, and on longer tracks a centre joiner, bridge or splice. Also cord tension pulleys and cord weights. For integrated curtain track and valance systems the valance rail profile, the valance brackets and valance return brackets. For Swish systems the wall box and the system connectors. The second part provides help and advice on finding and identifying replacement parts for all types of curtain tracks and window furnishings in general. Silent Gliss and Goelst gliders and curtain hooks are used to illustrate the main points.

Question by Christine L: Is it possible to attach the brackets for curtain rods to the wall with glue of some kind?

Glue will not hold curtain rod brackets to the walls. Too much weight on too little an area and too much jerking to open and close the curtains. Try a tension rod inside the opening to the window instead of a rod that attaches to the wall.
